Chase Narrative:

We weren't expecting a ton, but a cutoff mid-level low seemed like it could possibly pop storms with a few tornadoes possible. The low never got out of New Mexico and upper level winds never supported tornadic supercells. Storms fired around 21Z in Southwest Oklahoma and moved north along the outer fringes of the low and even to the northwest.

Cory and I left Norman around 4 pm and headed west towards Cordell. It became obvious pretty quickly that the storms were lacking upper support and raining into their updrafts and dying out. I thought there was a possibility of reformation to the west as the upper level low ejected into the southern plains, so we made our way to Clinton where we ate at Taco Mayo and sat around for a bit.

We decided to continue after the one storm which provided some awesome photography opportunities near dusk south of Gage, OK.

Definitely not a total bust, but I had high hopes for this day as a tornado producer.
