Managed to clean out my AA account (almost) of miles by booking one way to Seattle for 7500 miles + $5.60. I was able to make a return with Delta for 9000 skymiles + $5.60 work. So, I was heading to Seattle. I also wanted to hit up Vancouver this time, since I had never been.
I didn’t know what I wanted to do other than meet up with 3 friends and possibly go to Vancouver. Without any plans besides a truck rental and first night hotel, I headed out to Seattle.
I met up Saturday the 8th with my friend Elaina and her fiance for lunch. Then I headed north to the Canadian border, getting into Vancouver around 7. I drove around and checked out the Lions Gate Bridge as well as downtown Vancouver. I had considered going to the Flames vs Canucks game, but opted to pass on it.
Sunday morning I got up semi early and headed north on highway 99. The weather looked excellent, with plentiful sunshine and no snow, so I decided to go all the way to Lillooet. I then joined up with the trans-Canada highway and took it down through Hope and back to Vancouver.
Headed back to the USA on Monday evening and met up with my friend Sarah in the evening after working remotely during the day. I met up with my friend Jennifer Tuesday and then headed back to the airport to fly home.
