Chase Recap:

Started off spending most of the morning sleeping in Fort Morgan, CO before finally hitting the road and heading out around 1pm. Headed down 76 towards Denver, and then dropped south to the west of Denver Airport.

Stopped multiple times and eventually saw a funnel which we think briefly touched down near the airport. We continued following the storm to the east to highway 79 then dropping south to I-70 and Bennett. Storms kept firing to the south of the main storm as the main storm seemed to be outflow dominant. We continued south keeping with the updraft area, and eventually making the call to drop south to the storms coming out of Colorado Springs. Those eventually fell apart so we headed back towards Denver and up E-470 towards I-70 hoping to go back to the storm that we were on, or heading up to the north towards more storms firing.

It quickly became obvious nothing more was going to happen, so we settled on heading downtown Denver for some food at the Tilted Kilt.

Stopped off and visited Matt Sellers in Pueblo before heading to our hotel in La Junta, CO.
