Severe Risks: SPC Outlooks

Chase Recap:

A Friday chase after work where I couldn’t leave Norman until after 4pm and narrowly missed being on the storm when it produced a 5-10 minute tornado near Spearman, TX. I left immediately from Norman and shot out I-40 to Elk City and then northwest towards Arnett and west towards the storm. As we approached the storm, it was producing a barrage of CG bolts.

Unfortunately we got to the storm just as it was being impacted by the storms behind it. We found a very good updraft area with a lot of motion and rotation, but that quickly faded.
