Trip in November 2015 to visit my friend Jari in Finland. I booked this trip on miles with Delta almost a year out, 60,000 skymiles. The flights were Delta to Atlanta and then KLM from Atlanta to Amsterdam to Helsinki.
Jetlag got me really bad on this trip. We headed to Lapland after a few days to do some skiing and getting away. Unfortunately I tore my ACL and meniscus on my first trip down the hill and was in immense pain. They had to bring me down the mountain on a snowmobile.
Needless to say, the rest of the vacation was a bit low key. We drove around Helsinki but walking was out of the question for me.
