Got in for a weekend trip to Los Angeles because it was under $200 round-trip from Oklahoma City. We flew out on Friday night and took a red-eye home overnight Sunday for 2 full days on the west coast. We rented a car in Los Angeles and drove up the Pacific Coast Highway for a sightseeing mission.
I got as far north as San Simeon before sundown. Since this was in November, the sun went down early. As we were driving back south, some sort of rocket was launched over the west coast and seen for miles.
