Part of my trip to Europe in November 2016 which also included Barcelona, and Lisbon. My first leg included a 1 night-2 day stay in Rome. I departed early morning and landed around 10am. I stayed at the Hilton Rome Airport, which was probably the best hotel in terms of service I’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommended! It’s simple to catch their hotel shuttle or a train to the city.
Visited the main sights including the Colosseum and the Vatican. Managed to get pick-pocketed right outside the Vatican, but luckily my wallet was locked up in my cargo pocket so they only got away with a 20 euro bill and my ticket into the Vatican. The food was amazing and I would love to come back and spend a couple more days here.
I flew back to Barcelona in the evening of the second night.
