Chase Recap:

I spent the weekend in Kansas City with my sister and brother in law, as they were in town for a wedding. There was a slight risk in Northeast Oklahoma/Southwest Missouri which was a slight detour out of my way. I stopped at Fort Scott to get my NPS stamps then headed to Joplin where I drove around for a bit before getting baited into the storm near Grand Lake that was tornado warned and apparently dropped a tornado. It wrapped up a couple times but couldn’t get it done, and I pretty much gave up on it at the state line.

Into Missouri I ended up heading back north towards Joplin to get on another storm that would go onto produce a tornado near the town of Aurora, Unfortunately, I was working with only my phone and made a navigation error, missing that tornado by 5-10 minutes.

I ended up in good straight line winds near Springfield in Greene County Missouri before heading back down I-44 to OKC.
